9 Must Have Android Apps!

I have been using Android (Gingerbread) for quite some time now. And to top it all, I am using it on one of the most talked about devices, Samsung Galaxy SII. Well, this means that my Android experience is backed by a powerful 1.2Ghz dual core processor and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display to make it look grander! One of the best features of using Android is the huge range of apps that it presents… Trust me, when I say HUGE database of applications, you can find anything and everything under the sun in the app store (recently named Google Play store). In addition, most of the apps come for free! Anyhow, let us come to the point. Here I will share with you some exciting apps that I highly recommend if you are using an Android device. Hope you find them useful too … Must Haves: - Advanced Task Killer:  This app schedules an auto kill of processes to save battery. Don't worry, it will not interfere with your applications and it gives you the freedom to select the ones you don`t want to be touched. - OS Monitor:  This app tells you which processes are taking the maximum CPU / Memory etc. - Smart Screen Off: This is a good app and uses the proximity sensor to turn off the screen as soon as you keep it in your pocket, upside down on table, or even if you cover the sensor with your finger (incase someone tries to peep in to your screen). This means that you do not have to use the power button every time to turn off the lights. - Opera Mobile:  It is a good, light weight , multi tab, easy to use browser. - Flashlight:  This app comes handy when you want to use your phone as a torch. You can use your flash as a flashlight.  - Box:  This app helps you hide your contacts, SMSs, call logs, photos etc. Hence, no privacy issues!  - App2SD:  This app can be used to move all the apps installed on your device to the SD Card. - Quickpic:  This is a cool photo and video browser for your phone. It indexes all the pics and shows it in one place, with a cool interface. - App Cache Cleaner:  Using this app, you can clear the cache that is built by apps running on your system, and free resources. ........ HAIL Android! And here are some `Good To Have`apps: • PhoneGenie: Read reviews of newly launched mobiles, and compare. • MX Video Player: Do more with the videos, zoom etc. • Wiki Mobile: Wiki client on mobile. • BodyFitness: For fitness freaks, diet plans, exercises etc etc. • AlarmDroid: Easy to use Alarm app. • Saavn: For music lovers… Online music (Bollywood). • Social Networks: Linkedin , Facebook • Bookmyshow: Book movie and concert tickets through mobile. • Teamviewer: Log in to your home computer from your phone. (I use it to make my mom's life easy @ home) • Recipes: Like to cook ? A huge database of new things you can try. • XE Currency: Convert any currency on your phone. • Sketch free: For the people who do sketching, use this app to sketch on your phone. • TOI: For reading news on your phone. • Communications : Skype, WhatsApp, Viber. • Compass: You will not.... get lost ;-) !
