Google Working On Chrome For Windows 8

Google has reportedly confirmed that it's working on a version of Chrome that runs on the Metro UI of Windows 8. It means that you won't have to be stuck using IE if you plan to use the soon-to-be-launched Windows 8 operating system.

It seems browser makers are racing to get their browsers ready for Windows 8, which is likely to arrive sometime this year. We earlier reported about Mozilla working on a Metro-style version of Mozilla Firefox for Windows 8. The Metro version of Firefox will belong to a special class of apps, dubbed "Metro style enabled desktop browsers" by Microsoft. With this functionality, it would be on par with that of the current version of Firefox by running outside of the sandbox.
A Google spokesperson told Mashable, "Our goal is to be able to offer our users a speedy, simple, secure Chrome experience across all platforms, which includes both the desktop and Metro versions of Windows 8. To that end we’re in the process of building a Metro version of Chrome along with improving desktop Chrome in Windows 8 such as adding enhanced touch support."

Best suited for tablets, Metro offers the touch-friendly way of interacting for Windows 8. It also works with a mouse and keyboard.

So what are your expectations from a Metro version of Chrome?
